HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani and the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed al-Nahyan, yesterday discussed a number of regional and international issues of common concern, in particular the latest developments in the region.
The meeting, which was held at Al Mushrif Palace in Abu Dhabi yesterday afternoon, also dealt with the close relations between Qatar and the UAE and means of enhancing them in all fields and making the GCC more harmonious as per the interests of the member-states.
The meeting was attended by the members of the official delegation accompanying HH the Emir.
On the UAE side, the meeting was attended by National Security Adviser, Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed al-Nahyan, Chairman of the Intelligence Agency, Sheikh Khalid bin Mohamed bin Zayed al-Nahyan, Deputy Secretary-General of the Supreme National Security Council, Ali bin Hammad al-Shamsi, Chairman of the Executive Affairs Authority (EAA), Khaldoon bin Khalifa al-Mubarak, Under-Secretary of the Diwan of the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Mohamed bin Mubarak al-Mazroui and the UAE ambassador to Qatar, Saleh Mohamed bin al-Ameri.
Following the talks, the Emir attended a luncheon banquet hosted by Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed al-Nahyan.
Later, the Emir left Abu Dhabi concluding a short visit to the UAE.
The Emir and the accompanying delegation were seen off at the Presidential Airport in Abu Dhabi by Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed al-Nahyan, sheikhs and Ministers in the UAE, as well as Qatar’s ambassador to the UAE, Hadi bin Nasser al-Hajri, UAE’s ambassador to Qatar, Saleh Mohamed bin al-Ameri and the staff of the Qatari embassy.
