Relegation threatened Qatar Sports Club take on Al Sailiya today. The Kings pulled off a shock 0-0 draw with QSL champions Al Rayyan. A victory against Al Sailiya could push the Kings out of the QSL relegation zone for the very first time this year.
QSC Head Coach, Sebastiao Lazaroni is demanding something special from his team considering their situation, “This is a special game, Al Sailiya played very well in the first round against us. They are a good team with good players. If we look back our game against Al Rayyan was a fantastic result for us as we showed good spirits but now we need something special from the team,” added the Brazilian.
Speaking about the importance of this upcoming match, Lazaroni said, “For us now Sailiya is the most important match. The Al Rayyan result is the past and to get the result against Sailiya we need to play the best game we can.”
He also mentioned that his team can not rest at this stage by adding that, “Other clubs might be calm but for us each and every point is important because of our situation, we are not in a situation to stay calm we are instead in position to fight for every point.”
Sailiya head into the clash off the back of a demoralising 4-0 defeat away to Al Gharafa but they hope they can get their mojo back against Qatar SC.
With thirty-one points Sailiya are in seventh place only one point behind sixth place Umm Salal. They will be hoping for a victory against struggling QSC to improve their position in the table.
Sami Trabelsi, Head Coach of Al Sailiya had this to say about the upcoming game, “Qatar Sports Club is in a bad situation, but they are fighting in this round. They have very good discipline and we hope we don’t make the mistakes we made in the last week’s match against Gharafa.”
