Doha and other parts of the country will see thundershowers and strong winds on Wednesday as unstable weather conditions are likely to affect Qatar until the evening, the Met department has said.
Thunderstorms and strong winds are also expected in offshore areas along with high seas, according to the weather report.
Scattered rain has been reported from different parts of the country over the past two days.
“Latest weather charts indicate that unstable weather and chances of scattered rain over Qatar are likely to continue until Wednesday evening with possible thundershowers at times,” the Met department said in an update on social media Tuesday.
The forecast for inshore areas says it will be partly cloudy to cloudy and there is a chance of scattered rain along with thunder at times. The wind speed in these areas may go up to 30 knots during the thundershowers.
Cloudy conditions are likely in offshore areas along with a chance of scattered rain, which may be accompanied by thunder at times. The wind speed may increase to 25 knots, with the sea level reaching 7ft during the thundershowers.
The minimum and maximum temperatures on Wednesday are expected to be 19C and 25C, respectively, with the forecast for Doha being 22C and 25C.
