Thundershowers are expected in some parts of the country today along with strong winds, the Qatar Met department has said.
Offshore areas, too, are likely to see thunderstorms and strong winds, along with high seas, according to the weather report.
The Met department had on Sunday forecast that unstable weather was expected to affect Qatar until tonight, with chances of rain that might become thundery over some areas.
Scattered rain was reported from some parts of the country yesterday. Today, Dukhan, Abu Samra and Messaied are among the places where rain is expected.
The forecast for both inshore and offshore areas says partly cloudy to cloudy conditions are likely today, along with scattered rain that may be accompanied by thunder at times. The wind speed may go up to 25 knots during the thunderstorm, with the sea level rising to 7ft.
