The Qatar Tourism Authority (QTA) will participate in the Qatar University Career Forum to give students and graduates an opportunity to explore the tourism industry.
The four-day event begins today at Room C219 of the College of Business and Economics.
“At QTA, we believe in the importance of involving homegrown talent in developing Qatar’s tourism sector to ensure that visitor experiences are embedded in and reflective of the country’s national culture and heritage,” QTA Shared Services director Omar al-Jaber said in a statement.
He noted that the forum will also provide attendees a chance to learn more about tourism’s role in providing alternative revenue streams to the national economy.
Al-Jaber believes the event will help attendees identify future opportunities and careers in the tourism sector, estimated to provide up to 76,000 jobs in Qatar.
