A pleasant experience
Dear Sir,
I had taken my car for the annual technical inspection to the Woqod services (Fahes) centre in the Industrial Area recently in order to renew the vehicle’s registration (Istimara). I was pleasantly surprised and impressed by the customer-friendly procedure.
After reaching the inspection area, the owner now stays with the car throughout the process and is advised about any defects if they are found. The inspection report is issued immediately with the stamp of “Passed” or “Failed”. There’s no need to get signature and stamp on the report from the police any more.
It took me just around 50 minutes to complete the whole process. I appreciate the new procedure and hope that it would become even better and faster with the passage of time.
While appreciating the good experience at the Woqod vehicles inspection centre, I would also like to highlight the miseries that motorists face on the roads of the Industrial Area. Almost all the roads are clogged up with heavy traffic.
The day I visited the inspection centre, many parts of the roads were submerged in water because of the rain, making the journey even more hazardous. It took nearly two hours to reach the inspection centre and leave the Industrial Area. I would like to request the authorities concerned to look into the problems faced by motorists in the Industrial Area and improve the road conditions there.
