Municipalities in Qatar issued 249 permits for non-residential buildings in January and February.
Doha and Rayyan municipalities together accounted for 156 of them, a report from the Ministry of Development Planning and Statistics has said.
Though no separate figures of building permits were available, the report said permits were also issued from Wakrah (30), Umm Slal (14), Al Dayeen (20), Al Khor (19)
and Shamal (10) as well.
Doha and Rayyan issued 75 and 81 permits respectively.
The non-residential buildings include public buildings, commercial buildings, workshops and factories, mosques and others.
