Mir was able to secure the top place by accumulating 45 points, whilst Asif Kahn had to settle for second place following an impressive 41 points and Stuart Davies collected the third prize after his return of 40 points. Paul Kelly shot a three-over par 75 to win the best gross prize on countback and Kriyanti Setiyono and Simon Elliott won the men’s and ladies, nearest the pin prizes, respectively.
Kursad Caymaz, general manager of Turkish Airlines Qatar, said: “We would like to congratulate everyone who took part in the Turkish Airlines World Golf Cup qualifier in Doha. It was a brilliant day for the game of golf and Mir was outstanding in her effort. We now look forward to hosting her at the grand finals in Belek this October.”
