The ashes of former NYPD officer David Hofer, a graduate of NYU who served in Manhattan’s Ninth Precinct for five years, are carried into Saint Patrick’s Cathedral by officers of the Euless, Texas police department in New York. Hofer,who became a police officer in Texas, to escape the streets in New York, was killed in a shootout last week in Euless. Behind them is his fiance Marta Danylyk.
