Doha
Teenager Vaishnavi Senthilkumar is the winner of Gulf Times Instagram Contest 13.
Vaishnavi, 15, is studying in 10th grade at DPS MIS. Interested in photography, basketball and art, she is taking part in a photography contest for the first time.
Photography is a hobby for the youngster who wants to learn more about it.
“My family came to Doha in 2004 when I was four years old,” she says.
Vaishnavi’s father works in Qafco and her mother is a teacher in a kindergarten.
Excited at the opportunity to show her photography skills, Vaishnavi is one of the youngest winners of the contest. Her picture – Mosque’s beauty in the sunset – drew much interest from Instagram followers, receiving 239 likes and 128 comments.
