A shepherd walks on the bed of the dried up Osman Sagar Lake, commonly known as Gandipet, on the outskirts of Hyderabad yesterday. The Osman Sagar lake, one of the principal sources of drinking water in Telangana, has almost dried up completely as temperatures rise with the onset of summer across the country.
