Qatar Petroleum held the first part of its annual Continuous Service Awards (CSA) Ceremony on February 17 to honour long-serving employees.
During the event, QP president & CEO Saad Sherida al-Kaabi honoured 369 employees who have served the corporation for durations of 20, 25, 30, 35 and 40 years.

Al-Kaabi congratulated all “recognised employees for their long service, and hailed their dedication and commitment to Qatar Petroleum.”
Addressing the honorees, al-Kaabi said: “It is such a commitment to our national oil corporation that gives a meaning to this event … and it is such a loyalty that tells the story of Qatar Petroleum, and its true standing and reputation as a unique employer of choice.”
“I would like to thank you, and all of our QP staff, for your efforts and contributions, which are driving our successes and achievements in the service of the State of Qatar.”
The CSA ceremony was held at the convention hall of the new QP headquarters in West Bay, and it was attended by the corporation’s executive vice presidents, vice presidents and other senior officials.
The employees who were honoured comprised 105 who have been working in QP for the past 20 years, 139 who have completed 25 years of service, 78 who have put in 30 years, 42 who have been part of the corporation for the past 35 years, and five employees who have achieved a career milestone of 40 years of service with QP.
The awardees came from QP’s various directorates and departments, ranging from field development & exploration, finance and planning, and operations to HSE and business services, human capital, as well as projects, engineering and procurement services. They work in the corporation’s operational areas in Doha, Dukhan Concession Area, Mesaieed Industrial City, Ras Laffan Industrial City, Halul Island and offshore production stations.
During the event, al-Kaabi personally congratulated each of the employees and presented them with a certificate of appreciation and a gift as a token of gratitude for their loyalty and important contribution in QP’s growth and development over the years.
The event was the first of two recognition ceremonies scheduled this year, with the second set to be held on March 2, to recognise some 832 employees who have already completed 10 and 15 years of service with QP.
The annual CSA Ceremony was organised by QP’s Public Relations and Communications Department in collaboration with the Human Capital Directorate.
