The healthcare communications committee, established under the directive of HE the Minister of Public Health Dr Hanan Mohamed al-Kuwari, held its first meeting yesterday.
The committee includes representatives from media, communications, and public relations departments at the Ministry of Public Health (MOPH), Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC), and Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC).
The panel is chaired by Ali al-Khater, chief communications officer, HMC.
The committee will develop a clear strategy for healthcare communications and provide a strong platform for media, marketing and campaigns. The committee will also develop a consistent approach to healthcare communications supporting the ministry’s restructure and efforts to ensure delivery of high quality healthcare across the sector.
The committee will focus on patient engagement and satisfaction, communications, stakeholder mapping, marketing, campaigns, events and media.
