HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani and French President Francois Hollande discussed the developments in the Middle East, especially the war in Syria, and efforts to stop the bloodshed and delivery of humanitarian aid to besieged Syrian cities.
The two leaders called for increased international support for efforts to deter the regime and its cronies from committing more crimes, holding the Syrian regime responsible for the ongoing devastation and destruction, and reminding the international community of its responsibility towards these crimes, protection of the civilians, and the importance of holding accountable those responsible.



The Emir and the French president also exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues of mutual interest.
The meeting at the Elysee Palace also dealt with bilateral relations between Qatar and France and ways of enhancing them in various fields.
The meeting was attended by the members of the delegation accompanying the Emir. On the French side it was attended by a number of ministers.
