Land Force taking part in military exercise
A Qatari Land Force, consisting of a mechanised infantry battalion, left Doha yesterday for Saudi Arabia to participate in “Ra’ad Al-Shamal” manoeuvre which will be carried out at the King Khalid Military City in Hafr Al-Batin.

Oil ministers to confer in Doha
Saudi Arabian Oil Minister Ali al-Naimi is to hold talks with his Venezuelan and Qatari counterparts in Doha today, sources told Reuters yesterday. The meeting was the latest sign of renewed efforts by Opec members to try to tackle one of the worst oil gluts in history.
