Italian ambassador Guido De Sanctis has launched a new visa centre in Qatar.
The Cox and Kings Global Services Italy Visa Application Centre is the official visa application centre for the Italian embassy in Qatar.
A number of ambassadors and diplomats were present at the function. Qatar residents who wish to apply for a visa to Italy can now submit their application at CKGS Italy Visa Application Centre at ground floor, AMG building, opposite Granada Souq, Al Jazira Al Arabiya Street, Madinat Khalifa (South), Doha.
Qatar residents who wish to travel to Malta or Sweden or Estonia can also apply at the CKGS centre. Appointments for applications can be made online  at www.it.ckgs.qa. Additional information could be obtained by e-mailing [email protected].
The Italian ambassador expressed the hope that visa applications will increase on account of the new, improved service. "The new service will eliminate the waiting time to get a visa. Cox and Kings is already working for the Italian consulate in Dubai," he added.
