Bedaya Centre for Entrepreneurship and Career Development, a joint initiative by Qatar Development Bank and Silatech, introduced at the National Sport Day (NSD) activities at Katara – The Cultural Village, ‘Dukan’, a pop-up shop that showcased sport and health start-ups.
The initiative is directed at supporting local entrepreneurs and start-ups in the field of healthcare and sport. Six start-up projects that participated in the Bedaya pop-up shop included: Gate To Wellness - the first and only specialised medical tourism company in Doha; Oryx – a  company specialised in manufacturing sport T-shirts and caps; Bushama - a sport clothing manufacturer; Reem Covers - a company specialised in selling phone covers and bags designed specifically for sport events; Rashfa – an outlet focused on herbal tea and 20 other types of healthy herbs and JahezBatnek - a food and beverages outlet for healthy food and crepe.
Bedaya Centre general manager Reem al-Suwaidi said ‘Dukan’ is an umbrella body to help promote health and sport services and products aligned with the NSD.
