Total E&P Qatar has honoured 12 employees who completed 20, 15, 10, and five years of service to the company, and for their longstanding service and contributions.
At a special ceremony held at the Total Research Centre at Qatar (TRC-Q), managing director and group representative Guillaume Chalmin said: “I would like to congratulate you on this milestone, for your loyalty to the company.”
He added: “Your years of dedication and experience have greatly contributed to our success in Qatar. This celebration is a good illustration of the closeness of Total as a family. It shows how much the employees of the company matter for us.”
Christophe Eon, deputy vice president, HR-communications-CSR, led the celebrations, with each department manager awarding appreciation certificates and presents, while delivering a special message for each employee.
Eon said: “This event is very important to us as its gives the opportunity to say ‘thank you’ to each employee for their years of commitment and growth in the company. We sincerely appreciate this dedication and we are fortunate to be working with such reliable colleagues. As we continue our development in the country with a history spanning over 80 years, we recognise that our biggest strength will remain to be our employees.”
The employees come from eight different departments; collectively, they have rendered 140 years of service.
Total has had a continued presence in Qatar for 80 years, being the only international oil company active in all areas of Qatar’s oil and gas sector, including production, refining, petrochemicals, and marketing of lubricants.
Besides being the operator of Al Khalij oilfield, Total holds shares in Dolphin Energy, Qatargas, Ras Laffan Refinery, as well as in Qatar Petrochemical Company (Qapco) and its sister company, Qatofin.
