The proposed iconic project is to be set up in an area of 150,000sq m in a key location in the heart of the Ethiopian capital city, Ezdan said in a release yesterday.
The board of Ezdan Holding Group had announced earlier that it had reached a preliminary agreement to study the establishment of a real estate project and seek promising investment opportunities in Ethiopia.

Boshe assured all assistance to Sheikh Dr Khalid and the Qatari delegation and said all obstacles towards realising the investments would be removed.
He also lauded the strong bilateral ties between Ethiopia and Qatar and said his country enjoyed a “favourable investment climate for potential investors”.
Sheikh Dr Khalid also touched upon the bilateral ties between the countries and thanked the Ethiopian prime minister for the cordial reception extended to the Qatari delegation. He hoped that the proposed Qatari investments would further stimulate the already promising Ethiopian economy.
He said the proposed Ezdan project would be the first Qatari project in the Ethiopian market. Sheikh Dr Khalid hoped it would raise the bar for real estate projects in Ethiopia.
The Ezdan chairman highlighted the support the country’s business sector is receiving from the Qatari government under the wise leadership of HH the Emir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani.
He stressed that HH the Emir’s vision contributed in “creating positive opportunities for Qatari investors, aiming at establishing new projects of high economic and social returns in various emerging economies.”
The meeting was attended by senior Ethiopian officials including the country’s ambassador to Doha, Mesganu Arga, while the Qatari delegation included Qatar’s Ambassador to Ethiopia, Abdulaziz bin Sultan al-Rumaihi; Ezdan Holding Group CEO, Ali al-Obaidli; SAK Holding Group CEO, Hesham al-Sahtari; Ezdan Holding Group board member, Ali al-Hashmi; Medicare Group CEO, Khalid al-Emadi; Arab Engineering Bureau CEO, Ibrahim Jaidah; Ezdan Holding Group chairman office general manager, Nasrat Ali Farooqi, and Ezdan Holding Group’s director (Corporate Research & Analysis), Mahmud Awada.
