Mannai Heavy Equipment Group (HEG), a leading supplier of heavy equipment for construction and infrastructure development companies in Qatar, signed a major deal with Haffarat Projects, a prominent construction contractor, for new additions to the company’s fleet. These include the latest JCB excavators, Daweoo buses and Eicher trucks to meet the needs of a growing pipeline of projects.
The long-term partnership between the two companies has seen heavy equipment from JCB and other major brands under the Mannai HED umbrella being used at major construction sites around the country.
Haffarat Projects has delivered a range of services for major projects including Lusail City, Qatar Rail, Doha Port, The Pearl Qatar, Qatar Foundation projects, Katara, national expressways and road works projects.
The fleet extension deal was signed between Mannai HEG senior sales manager Hashim El Gendi, and Haffarat Projects managing director Fadi Nasser al-Din and managing partner Mustafa Ali.
El Gendi said Haffarat’s efforts to continue modernising its fleet reflect a sound understanding of sustainability principles in this competitive sector.
“The efficiencies of continuously modernised fleets are the easiest way for contractors to deliver greater value to their clients in terms of cost savings as well as maximum uptime to deliver on scheduled milestones in each project.”
Mannai HEG has also established partnerships with banks in the country to offer eligible clients competitive financial facilities with repayment periods of up to three years. This helps support their immediate requirements while allowing contractors to finance their equipment purchases in line with the milestone payments they receive from the project owners.
Haffarat Projects specialises in underground utility installation with crew capabilities ranging from open field pipe installation to complex urban reconstruction projects. Haffarat also has strong relationship with SC ProMS Concept Group which co-ordinates the activities of over 10 companies, which are skilled in complementary fields of the business and share expertise in order to develop a sustainable competitive advantage.
Together the companies offer water supply networks and wastewater treatment plants management, electrical and lighting networks, consulting and project management, road infrastructure, landscape and recreational infrastructure, civil works, technical design and implementation of geographical information system, and many other allied services.
