Doha
A traffic diversion for nearly 18 months will be in place on a section of Mesaieed road between Al Wakra and Mesaieed. The diversion, starting on Friday (January 15), is required to allow for the construction of a new interchange as part of the construction of Al Wakra bypass road project.
During the period, two lanes in the direction from Mesaieed to Doha will be closed on part of the existing road. The 800m closure will start after the local access to the family beach in Al Wakra Municipality.
The traffic will be diverted to a diversion constructed with the same number of lanes, as shown in the map. The speed limit will also be lowered from 80kmh to 50kmn throughout the diversion, to ensure the safety of motorists and project workers.
