HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani held a telephone conversation with Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir on bilateral relations and means to support them in addition to a host of topics of mutual interest. Meanwhile, Sudanese Minister of Tourism, Antiquities and Wildlife Mohamed Abu Zaid Mustafa said yesterday that the Doha peace agreement opened the door for opportunities for the tourism sector. He praised the Qatari role in Darfur which focused on establishing developmental projects that provide the necessary stability to the region and attracts investors in the tourism sector. He stressed that Darfur had a lot of potential for tourism that will enhance peace if developed properly.
