The Criminal Investigation Department has arrested an Asian after he purchased several watches and gifts using fake credit cards.
The department had received information from some sources in this regard. Following investigations, the department found out that the transactions were made by an Asian man.
A special investigation team was formed to follow up and arrest the suspect. The investigation team made necessary procedures to nab the suspect who was arrested with 47 fake credit cards, and an iPhone worth QR4,000.
Following interrogation, the accused confessed to possessing the fake credit cards and also unsuccessfully attempting to purchase goods worth more than QR30,000.
The accused was referred to the legal authorities for further procedures.
