The State of Qatar and Afghanistan have signed a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at enhancing relations in the education sector between the two countries.
The MoU was signed by HE the Minister of Education and Higher Education Dr Mohamed Abdul Wahed Ali al-Hammadi, who is also Secretary General of the Supreme Education Council, and Afghanistan’s Minister of Education Dr Assad Hanif Balkhi who is currently on a visit to Qatar.
The MoU was signed at a meeting held yesterday between Dr al-Hammadi and the visiting Afghan minister and his accompanying delegation.
During the meeting they discussed aspects of co-operation between Qatar and Afghanistan in the field of education and means of developing them.
The memorandum dealt with aspects of co-operation between the two countries and the exchange of expertise, experiences and visits as well as best practices in the education sector.
The meeting was attended by Charge d’Affaires at the Embassy of Afghanistan in Doha Dr Mohamed Qasim Himmat and officials from the Supreme Education Council.
