The Ministry of Economy and Commerce (MEC) has announced a free recall campaign for 2001-2007 Toyota Corolla models to fix a manufacturer’s defect in the inflator of the passenger-side airbag.
The campaign is being jointly conducted with Abdullah Abdulghani & Bros Co, the authorised distributor of Toyota vehicles in Qatar.
The campaign falls within the framework of the MEC’s ongoing efforts to protect consumers and ensure that car dealers follow up on vehicle defects and repair them.
The ministry will co-ordinate with the dealer to follow up on the maintenance and repair works and communicate with customers to ensure that the necessary repairs are carried out.
