HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani stressed that “the 18th of December will remain an important milestone and a shining symbol in Qatar’s history".

HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior told Qatar News Agency (QNA) on the occasion of the National Day: “It’s also an inspiration for us to bring further growth and development for our beloved country and its loyal people.

“It is an occasion to hoist the nation’s flag and deepen the spirit of citizenship, noble values and morality which were instilled by the founder Sheikh Jassim bin Mohamed bin Thani in this good land.

“This precious occasion comes at a time when our country is blessed with safety and security, high rates of economic and social development, best services particularly in health and education, and is enjoying strong ties in the Gulf, Arab, Islamic and other countries and has a prominent and respected status throughout the world,”

HE Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani stressed that this would not have been possible without the solid foundation laid by Sheikh Jassim bin Mohamed bin Thani, the founder of the modern state of Qatar, which was further strengthen by HH the Father Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani and HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani.

HE the Prime Minister also noted that “the achievements, progress and unprecedented growth of our beloved country in all areas would not have been possible without the people rallying around his wise leadership that provided its people with a decent life and made available all sources to unlock their skills, thought, creativity and innovation.

He added that “The National Day is an important occasion to remember our grandparents and parents, who exerted their efforts and made sacrifices in order to build a stable, prosperous and safe country. It is now our turn to continue their work , inspired by the founder and directions of our wise leadership and guided by Qatar National Vision 2030.

“The National Day comes this year at a time when our country begins a new phase of constructive development the objectives of which were set by HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani in his comprehensive speech at the opening of the 44th session of the Advisory Council.”

HE the Prime Minister said: “I am delighted at this glorious occasion to emphasise that all ministries and government agencies have already begun to implement in a studied way plans and the directives of HH the Emir.”
