Emir receives phone call from Djibouti president

HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani received a telephone call  from President Ismail Omar Guelleh of Djibouti. Discussions  dealt with bilateral relations between the two countries and ways of enhancing them, as well as a number of issues of common concern.

Emir appoints ambassador to Philippines
HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani issued Emiri Decision No 61 of 2015 appointing Ali Ibrahim Ahmed Ibrahim al-Malki as ambassador to the Philippines.

Independence Day greetings
HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, HH the Deputy Emir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad al-Thani and HE the Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani have sent cables of congratulations to Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev on the anniversary of his country’s Independence Day.

Military ties  with France reviewed
HE the Emiri Guard Commander Major General Hazza bin Khalil al-Shahwani met the commander of the French Republican Guard General Damien Striebig and his accompanying delegation, who are currently visiting Qatar. They reviewed ways to strengthen co-operation in the military field

Ministry recalls Bentley models
The Ministry of Economy and Commerce (MEC) has announced a recall of 2011-14 models of Bentley Continental GT, GTC and Flying Spur due to a potential loose connection in a limited number of vehicles.
The recall is being carried out in collaboration with Al Wajba Motors, dealer of Bentley vehicles in Qatar.
The ministry urged consumers to report violations to its Consumer Protection and Anti-Commercial Fraud Department through the hotline (16001), e-mail ([email protected]), Twitter (@MEC_Qatar), Instagram (MEC_Qatar) and the MEC mobile app for Android and iOS (MEC_Qatar).
