Public transport solutions provider Mowasalat will press adequate number of buses and taxis into service across the country on the occasion of National Day.
“More buses will operate to cover urban areas and suburbs of the capital for the public interested to visit the celebration venues,” it was announced yesterday.
More availability of taxi services through temporary hubs has also been planned.
Mowasalat has also made a presentation on how the company provides a sustainable safe transport system by displaying the oldest and latest transport models at Darb Al Saai. The exhibits shed light on the legacy and the development it has witnessed through the past 11 years.
Mowasalat chief executive officer Khalid Nasser al-Hail said: “The National Day celebration is a moment of honour and pride for the State of Qatar, and its founder Sheikh Jassim bin Mohamed al-Thani who foresaw the development in order to make the vision more clear towards a civilised nation that adheres to its legacy, a nation that is politically, economically, educationally, and physically well developed.”
