Emir receives phone call from Kuwaiti leader
HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani received a telephone call from Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmed al-Jaber al-Sabah.
They discussed relations between Qatar and Kuwait and ways of enhancing them, as well as regional and international issues.

Assistant FM meets top US official

HE the Assistant Foreign Minister for Foreign Affairs Mohamed bin Abdullah al-Rumaihi met Frank A Rose, US Assistant Secretary for arms control, verification and compliance yesterday.
Talks dealt with relations between Qatar and the US and means of boosting them. They also exchanged views on topics of mutual interest.

Ministry recalls Nissan Urvan models

The Ministry of Economy and Commerce (MEC) has announced a recall of 2013-14 Nissan Urvan models over a potential defect in the vacuum hose attached to the brake booster.
The recall is being carried out in collaboration with Saleh Al Hamad Al Mana Co, dealer of Nissan vehicles in Qatar.
The campaign falls within the framework of the MEC’s ongoing efforts to protect consumers and ensure that car dealers follow up on vehicle defects and repairs.
The ministry will co-ordinate with the dealer to follow up on maintenance and repair works and communicate with customers to ensure that the necessary repairs are carried out.
It has urged consumers to report violations to its Consumer Protection and Anti-Commercial Fraud Department through the hotline (16000), e-mail ([email protected]), Twitter (@MEC_Qatar), Instagram (MEC_Qatar) and the MEC mobile app for Android and iOS (MEC_Qatar).

Strong winds forecast
Strong winds are again expected in some parts of the country early today, the Qatar Met department has said.
The weather report also says strong winds and high seas are likely in offshore areas.
The wind speed in inshore areas will range from 10-20kt, which may go up to 27kt in some places at times. In offshore areas, the wind speed will be 18-24kt.
Visibility, meanwhile, may drop to 3km or less in some places.
Slight to blowing dust has been forecast in some places today along with partly cloudy conditions and a cold night, according to the weather report.
Offshore areas will see slight dust with some clouds, and the sea level may rise to 8ft during the day.
The minimum and maximum temperatures in the country, including Doha, are expected to be 15C and 22C, respectively.
