United Development Company (UDC) has arranged a number of festive activities until Sunday, at The Pearl-Qatar, one of the gold sponsors of the Qatar National Day celebrations.
Organised in association with the Qatar National Day Celebrations Committee, the activities will reflect the country’s heritage, culture and traditions.
Among the most prominent activities is the traditional Qatari sword dance - Arda, which symbolises strength and unity, against the backdrop of National Day footage projected over a water screen.
Visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy a variety of traditional Qatari dishes at one of the many special tents located at 12 La Croisette in Porto Arabia, along with a dedicated tent to experience Arabian traditions and hospitality with complimentary activities and attractions such as henna, Arabic coffee and dates.
The Pearl-Qatar has allocated a Karak Tea Booth that will be offering complimentary cups of Qatar’s most popular beverage. On December 18, among the highlights is a fireworks display that will illuminate the skyline of Marsa Arabia.
Aspiring photographers can take centre stage at the various photography booths to capture the special moments throughout the festivities, which will be screened live for all guests on the island.
