Indian expatriate Mohamed Adnan Qureshi, 27, is the winner of Gulf Times Instagram Contest 11.
Qureshi took the picture entitled ‘Life is beautiful’ at Pearl Qatar as the sun was setting.
“It conveys an inspirational thought; life is beautiful, you just gotta notice it,” he says.
Born and raised in Saudi Arabia, Qureshi is an IT engineer living in Qatar for nearly eight years. He works for Zeal IT group and is co-founder of Zeal Properties, Qatar.
“What I like about photographs is that they capture a moment that’s gone forever, impossible to reproduce ... and remain life’s best moments,” adds the avid photographer.
The IT professional’s family too lives in Qatar.
Qureshi’s picture received 40 likes and generated more than a dozen comments.
The 12th instalment of the competition starts today. Send your photos shot in Qatar to: [email protected] Shortlisted pictures will be posted on the Gulf Times Instagram account, with the name of the photographer mentioned.
The picture that gets the maximum number of likes and unique comments during a seven-day period will be declared the winner.
A like will get the picture one mark and a unique comment will fetch two marks.
The winning picture will be published in the Gulf Times print edition as well as on the web edition of Gulf Times, along with a short bio of the photographer.Last updated:
