Mannai Corporation has elected Sheikh Suhaim bin Abdulla bin Khalifa al-Thani as its chairman.
The present incumbent, Sheikh Hamad bin Abdulla bin Khalifa al-Thani, has decided to step down with effect from December 31, 2015, Mannai Corporation confirmed in a communiqué to the Qatar Stock Exchange.
“Sheikh Hamad has advised the board that due to his growing international business commitments he will need to resign from his position as chairman of Mannai,” the communiqué added.
Sheikh Suhaim will take over as chairman with effect from January 1, 2016, for the remaining tenure of the board, which expires on March 22, 2016.
QIPCO will later provide Mannai Corporation with the name of its alternate representative in the board of directors, the communiqué said.
