HE the Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr Khalid bin Mohamed al-Attiyah yesterday received a telephone call from German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier.
During the call, they discussed bilateral relations and ways to enhance them, and exchanged views
on the latest developments in the region, including international efforts to combat terrorism.
The German minister briefed Dr al-Attiyah on the parliament’s decision approving Germany joining the international military campaign against terrorism
in Syria.
Dr al-Attiyah reiterated Qatar’s full support for international efforts to combat violence and terrorism, stressing the importance of co-operation and joining hands to bring security, peace and stability in the region.
