A picture shows a statue of British band The Beatles, featuring (from left) musicians Paul McCartney, George Harrison, Ringo Starr and John Lennon, created by sculptor Andy Edwards and unveiled in Liverpool, northwest England yesterday, fifty years after their final performance in the city. The Statue which has been created by artist Chris Butler of the Castle Fine Art Foundry and funded by the Cavern Club is situated at The Pier Head and has been created from photographs of the band members in 1963 at that location. The statue was unveiled by Julia Baird, sister of John Lennon who was present at their final performance in their home city at The Empire Theatre on December 5, 1965.
