HH the Deputy Emir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad al-Thani holding talks with the interior ministers of GCC in Doha yesterday.

HH the Deputy Emir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad al-Thani met the Ministers of Interior of the Gulf Co-operation Council States, who called on him on the occasion of the 34th consultative meeting in Doha.  
HH the Deputy Emir met Prince Mohamed bin Naif bin Abdulaziz al-Saud, Crown Prince, Second Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Lt Gen Sheikh Saif bin Zayed bin Sultan al-Nahyan, the Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohamed al-Khaled al-Hamad al-Sabah, the Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister of Kuwait, Lt Gen Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah al-Khalifah, the Interior Minister of Bahrain, Sayyid Hamoud bin Faisal al-Busaidi, Interior Minister of Oman, and the GCC Secretary General Dr Abdullatif bin Rashid al-Zayani.  
The meeting reviewed the relations between GCC member-states.  
The Deputy Emir wished them success in their meeting.  
The meeting was attended by HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani.       
Later, HH the Deputy Emir Hosts Luncheon Banquet for GCC interior ministers.



Agreement to set up GCC Police HQ

The GCC Ministers of Interior witnessed the signing of an agreement to establish the headquarters of GCC Police body.
The signing ceremony took place on the sidelines of the 34th Consultative Meeting which was held yesterday at the Sheraton Doha Hotel.  
The agreement was signed for the UAE, the host of the headquarters of GCC Police, by the Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Lt Gen Sheikh Saif bin Zayed bin Sultan al-Nahyan and for the GCC Secretariat-General by GCC Secretary-General Dr Abdullatif bin Rashid al-Zayani.
They also witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between Qatar Police College and the GCC Secretariat-General.  
The MoU was signed by GCC Secretary-General Dr Abdullatif bin Rashid al-Zayani and Deputy Chairman of Supreme Council of Qatar Police College and Adviser to Minister of Interior Major General Dr Abdullah Yousuf al-Mal.  
The agreement aimed at taking advantage of GCC Secretariat-General’s research and educational expertise as well as participation in its activities besides exchange of research between the two sides.
