Commercial Bank has said a large number of Qatari entrepreneurs and owners of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) have visited its stand at the Grand Hyatt during the recently-held Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW).
Held under the patronage of HE the Minister of Economy and Commerce Sheikh Ahmed bin Jassim bin Mohamed al-Thani and with Qatar Development Bank (QDB) as host organisation, GEW Qatar provided aspiring entrepreneurs with knowledge needed to realise their goals and fosters awareness of the rewards of entrepreneurship among Qatar’s youth.
Commercial Bank, as QDB’s partner bank for the Al Dhameem Programme, participated at GEW to support entrepreneurs and SME owners by providing information on financing through the Portfolio Programme.
The Al Dhameem Programme supports Qatari SMEs in overcoming obstacles to funding due to a short credit history, and facilitates financing procedures for key sectors such as industry, education, healthcare, and added-value services.
