Building on the success of the 2014 edition, Foundation Real Madrid (FRM) has confirmed the 2015 FRM Football Camp in Qatar December 17-23, 2015.
Once again, QSports, a Qatari sports management company established in 2011 and the local partner of the camp, will host the camp.
The Real Madrid Football Campus is an innovative initiative for children (aged between 7 and 23) to experience the magic of the ‘Madridista’ football lifestyle and coaching in the Middle East. The unique one-week programme developed by Real Madrid offers participants a comprehensive and structured sports training programme and the opportunity to be coached and trained in methods used by the world’s best football players. The programme will be delivered in world class facilities of Al Sadd Sports Club ensuring a healthy and safe environment for young football enthusiasts in Qatar.
QSports already has a 12,000 strong membership base of active sports enthusiasts with members able to participate in a variety of sporting leagues and activities. With experience in running kids sports academies and having organised several national and international sporting events and concepts, QSports also has the support and endorsement of the Qatar Olympic Committee. QSports will work in partnership with Arabica Sport – FRM’s Middle East Representative and an international sports consultancy firm.
Adnan Yassine, Foundation Real Madrid’s Middle East representative, said: “We are delighted to partner with QSports to once again bring the Real Madrid Foundation to Qatar and support QSports in the youth sport development of the country.”
QSports deputy chairman Ghanim al-Mohannadi further added: “We are excited to bring FRM back to Qatar in 2015, and thank Foundation Real Madrid for reposing the trust in QSports to be appointed as host organisers for this prestigious camp two years in a row.”
The Campus is open to the first 350 children who sign up for registration. The seven-day camp will follow a six-hour daily schedule and all the participants will be provided with an official FRM training kit, graduation certificate in addition to lunch and a light snack during the camp.
Amwaj is the catering partner for the camp.
Parents and participants will also be invited to a pre-camp meeting two weeks before the camp start date for an information session by FRM coaches.
Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) Ambulance Services will be on-site for any first aid or medical emergencies.
