The Ministry of the Interior, represented by the Police College, has signed a contract for implementation of a practical summer training for students of the Police College with Greater Manchester Police in the UK.
As per the contract, the two sides will co-operate in the field of training and transfer of expertise.
The contract was signed by Brig. Dr Mohamed Abdullah al-Muhana al-Marri, Director General of the Police College, and Adam Allen on behalf of the Manchester Police chief.
The training programme will seek to enhance the practical skills of the Police College students in the area of police operations and management of the security positions as well as ways to secure important sports tournaments and events in a way that meet the 2022 World Cup requirements.
The contract signing ceremony was attended by Major General Dr Abdullah Yusuf al-Maal, Adviser to the Minister of the Interior, Ian Hopkins, Manchester Police Commander, and Brig. Badr Ibrahim al-Ghanim, Director of Technical Office of the Ministry of Interior.

Qatar to host meeting of GCC Zakat dept chiefs

The State of Qatar will host today the 12th meeting of the heads of Zakat departments in the GCC states, which is organised by the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs.
The two-day meeting will  discuss, among other topics, the  follow-up  of  decisions of the 11th meeting, the  fourth training plan for (2016- 2018), the GCC contest for research and creative works in the area of Zakat.
