Disney’s Beauty and The Beast is slated to hold its inaugural performance in Doha from December 10 to 19 at the Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC) as the show celebrates its 20th anniversary on stage.
Hussein Fakhry, chief executive officer of Agency Tripletwo, said Disney’s Beauty and The Beast is the first Broadway musical to come to Qatar.
“Premium Events has been initiated with the ambition to bring world-class shows to Qatar and what better production than Disney’s Beauty and The Beast. Still ranked as one of the longest-running and highest-grossing Broadway shows of all time, we are proud to give people in Qatar the opportunity to see this outstanding musical, even more so as it celebrates its 20th anniversary on the stage,” Fakhry said.
Speaking to reporters yesterday, Fakhry added: “At Premium Events, we aim to foster a professional and reliable live entertainment structure in the country.”
The show is led by Broadway actors Briana Rapa, who plays “Belle” and Mark Beyer, who stars as “The Beast.”
The schedule of events are as follows: December 10, 8:30pm (premiere); December 11, 3pm and 8:30pm; December 12, 11am (family show), 3pm and 8:30pm; December 15, 8:30pm; December 16, 3pm and 8:30pm; December 17, 3pm and 8:30pm; and December 19, 11am (family show), 3pm and 8:30pm.
