The telecommunications department under the Ministry of Interior (MoI) was awarded the ISO 9001:2008 certification.
The ceremony was attended by Major General Abdul Aziz al-Ansari, director, international co-operation department; Brig Ali Salem al-Henzab, director, telecommunications department; and Brig Abdul Rahman Majid al-Sulaiti, director, strategic planning department.
Speaking on the occasion, Major General al-Ansari lauded the efforts of the telecommunications department in providing the most advanced telecommunications systems to all sectors of the MoI and contributing to improve its functioning.
He expressed his gratitude to the Qatari cadres who strived hard to accomplish this great achievement as well as the German embassy for their support and the certification company Quality Arabia. The certificate was awarded by the German company
TUV Hessen.
Brig al-Henzab described the achievement as one of the major steps followed by the department to the implementation of the strategy of the MoI.
Brig al-Sulaiti pointed out that ISO 9001 certification reflects the keenness of the department to improve its services in accordance with the state-of-the-art technology advancements. The Telecommunications Department was awarded ISO certification in 2011 as well.
