Maersk Oil Qatar is the platinum sponsor of the 24th World ITMA Congress on Traffic Medicine and Road Safety to be held in Doha from November 16 to 18.
The agreement was signed by Brigadier engineer Mohamed Abdullah al-Maliki, secretary of the National Traffic Safety Committee and the chairman of the Organising Committee and Faisal bin Fahad al-Thani, deputy managing director of Maersk Oil Qatar in the presence of Capt. Mubarak Salim al-Bouainain, assistant director of Public Relations Department at Ministry of Interior.
“Maersk Oil Qatar has a proud history of supporting programmes that bring meaningful benefits to Qatar,” Faisal bin Fahad al-Thani said. Stating that road safety is a huge challenge for all countries, including Qatar, he stated Maersk Oil Qatar is helping to bring the brightest experts to Qatar as part of the 24th ITMA Congress to look at solutions. “As a global conglomerate, Maersk is ambitious and committed to Qatar for generations to come”.
Brig al-Maliki expressed thanks to Maersk Oil Qatar for their support to the activities initiated by Ministry of Interior for the community and observed that the sponsorship of the ITMA Congress by Maersk proves their commitment to contribute services for the wellness of the community.
The congress aims to promote integrated traffic safety system in different aspects including medical, legislative, awareness, engineering and technical sectors and raise public awareness. Prominent international experts in concerned fields will participate in the event.
