HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani yesterday issued Law No 21 of 2015 on the regulation of the entry and exit of expatriates and their residency.
All authorities concerned are to implement the law and it will be applicable one year after its date of publication in the official gazette.

Ratification documents
HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani has issued the following ratification documents:
1.Endorsing the ratification of a memorandum of understanding in the field of sports between the Ministry of Youth and Sports and State General Administration of Sports of China, which was signed in Beijing on November 3, 2014.
2.Endorsing the ratification of a memorandum of understanding in the field of youth between the governments of Qatar and Sri Lanka, which was signed in Colombo on March 24, 2015.
3.Endorsing a complimentary draft protocol to an air transport agreement between the governments of Qatar and Romania, which was signed in Doha on May 3, 2015.
4.Endorsing a memorandum of understanding on co-operation in the field of media between the governments of Qatar and Sri Lanka, which was signed in Colombo on March 24, 2015.
5.Endorsing the ratification of a memorandum of understanding on co-operation in the field of sports between the governments of Qatar and Sri Lanka, which was signed in Colombo on March 24, 2015.

Emiri Decisions issued

HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani yesterday issued the following Emiri decisions:
1.Emiri decision No 50 of 2015 transferring ambassador to Vietnam Abdullah Ibrahim Abdulrahman al-Hamar to the Foreign Ministry.  
2.Emiri decision No 51 of 2015 transferring ambassador to Bangladesh Abdullah Abdulaziz Mohamed al-Mana to the Foreign Ministry.  
3.Emiri decision No 53 of 2015 appointing Ahmed Nasser al-Duhaimi as ambassador  to  Bangladesh.
The decisions are effective as of the date of issue and are to be published in the official gazette.

Emir issues two decrees

HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani issued Decree No 45 of 2015 ratifying the agreement between the governments of Qatar and Latvia on the avoidance of double taxation and the prevention of fiscal evasion with respect to taxes on income, which was signed in New York on 26/9/2014. The decree shall have the force of law in accordance with Article 68 of the Constitution.
The Emir also issued Decree No 46 of 2015 ratifying the air transport agreement between the governments of Qatar and Burundi, which was signed in Doha on 19/5/2013. The Decree shall have the force of law in accordance with Article 68 of the Constitution.


New envoys present credentials

HE the Assistant Foreign Minister for Foreign Affairs Mohamed bin Abdullah al-Rumaihi has received copies of the credentials of ambassadors of Slovak Republic, Myanmar, Montenegro, Camboda and Denmark - Pavol Svetik, U Ko Ko Latt, Darko Uskokovic, Sman Manan, and Merete Juhl respectively.
Al-Rumaihi wished the new ambassadors success in their new posting and relations between Qatar and their countries further progress and prosperity.

National Day greetings sent
HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani yesterday sent a cable of congratulations to President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow on  his country’s National Day.
Real estate sales top QR1.2bn
The total value of trading in real estate sale contracts registered with the Real Estate Registration Department at the Ministry of Justice from October 18 to 22 amounted to QR1,239,912,229. According to the weekly bulletin issued by the department, the list of properties that were traded for sale includes open plots of land, houses and multi-purpose buildings, which are located in the municipalities of Doha, Umm Salal, Al Khor, Al Dhakira, Al
Rayyan, Al Daayen, Al Wakrah and Al Shamal.
Pakistan minister, envoy hold talks
Minister of States and Frontier Regions of Pakistan Abdul Qadir Baloch has met with Qatar’s ambassador to Pakistan, Saqr bin Mubarak Muhammad Al Mansouri in Islamabad. During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations and ways to boost them.

Djibouti leader meets Qatari envoy

The president of the Republic of Djibouti, Ismail Omar Guelleh, has met with Qatar’s ambassador to Djibouti Jassim bin Jaber Jassim Sorour and the delegation of Qatar Development Fund (QDF) and Nebras Power Company. During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations and ways of enhancing them and the prospects for cooperation, in addition to matters of common concern.
