The Ministry of Interior (MoI)’s Juvenile Police Department launched a three-day awareness exhibition, under the auspices of Director-General of Public Security HE Staff Maj Gen Saad bin Jassim al-Khulaifi, at Aspire Park yesterday.
The exhibition was opened by Brig Abdullah al-Noaimi, director-general of the General Directorate of Criminal Investigations, in the presence of Brig Ibrahim Eissa al-Bouainain, director of the Juvenile Police Department, and other officials from the MoI.
The exhibition is being held under the theme “Let us implant morals ourselves”. A number of organisations and agencies are participating in it, including Hamad Medical Corporation, Qatar Foundation for Protection and Social Rehabilitation, the education authorities and others.
Speaking on the occasion, Brig al-Noaimi said the Juvenile Police Department exhibition is the first of its kind in the State, which targets children in order to raise their awareness about crime-related issues and educate them through creative means.
He stressed the need for an active partnership between the society and families so that children follow the right direction while growing up.
Brig al-Bouainain said the exhibition will remain open until tomorrow, from 8am to 12noon and from 4pm
to 8pm. The programme lays stress on the participation of school students in order to instil noble social
values and develop healthy communication between parents and their children.
