One of the most loved and talented disc spinners in the fraternity who loves toying with different genres, Shireen Aida Khan will be creating a typical Bollywood night during the last weekend of this month.
Unique with her rapping skills, the ‘Rockstar DJ’ will also launch her new album One at the occasion, giving away free CDs to the audience. The ‘Massive Bollywood Night’ featuring DJ Shireen, will be held at Pearl Lounge, Marriott Hotel on October 31.
Shireen is one of India’s most loved and revered figures in the DJing industry, and also one of the best. Starting out as the country’s youngest female DJ back in 2005, Shireen soon shot up the popularity charts, thanks to her electrifying presence behind the console.
Not one to be afraid of experimenting, Shireen has gained an impeccable repute for absolutely rocking the crowd with her signature style of music one night after another, one place after another, within the country and abroad.
Having started at an early age of 19, Shireen quickly made it to the national finals of the Times War of DJs, a feat that was only to tell of the seeds of the promising talent that was there. In a span of 10 years, the talented DJ has been performing and driving the crowd mad with her sense of understanding the pulse of the crowd.
Born and brought up in Kolkata and currently residing in Mumbai, this multi-talented girl has been called to perform in various clubs of Dubai, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, Tanzania, Singapore, Nepal, Bangladesh; and in Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai and many other cities of India.
The fact that most venues have repeated her performances more than once might be able to explain why she has earned the title of a ‘Rockstar DJ’ over the years.
At 29, Shireen already has several independent tracks produced to her credit and commands a huge fan following. A look at her Facebook Fan Page, currently at 374,000 and counting, confirms that. A believer in the combination of hard work, sheer dedication and talent, Shireen has quite made the mark.
Shireen has always taken the initiative of organising events. She has won many prizes as an actor. Also a professional MC for over 10 years and a gifted rapper, Shireen loves playing with genres like Electro House, Progressive House, Funky House, Tech House, Bollywood, Hip Hop and R&B. Recent Radio shows in UK have been playing her tracks repeatedly where she has increased the number of her existing fans.

DJ Shireen is no stranger to the Doha audience where she has performed many times before. In February this year, Shireen performed at Grand Regal before a packed house, spinning Bollywood tracks also featuring DJ Exon.
For the massive Bollywood night at Marriott, she will be joined by the local music producer, DJ Sarfraz, known as Doha’s senior DJ, leader of Electronic Music and one of the most promising DJs in the electronic scene.
Sarfraz started his career in India in 2002 at O’zone Club, Manipal, as residential DJ and won the first War of the DJs in 2004 at VallyView Manipal.
He shifted to Doha in 2004 and quickly rose to a next generation of superstar DJs. Touring regularly around the globe sharing his blend of progressive minded dance music, with his own production house, Sarfraz is best known for his DJ skills.
He has demonstrated the rare ability to refreshingly combine pure music with his own favourite mix of dance music genres such as progressive, club, house and Bollywood. Dj Sarfraz has played across Doha such as M Lounge, Merweb Centeral-Qube, Royal Qatar Hotel, Hyatt Plaza, Katara Cultural Village, Marriott Hotel Beach, Sealine Resort Beach, Club Fahrenheit, Horizan Manor Hotel where he is currently the resident Dj.
