Qatar Airways won a trio of awards at the 2015 Business Traveller Awards held at the Royal Garden Hotel in London recently.
The airline’s renowned high quality service was once again recognised as Qatar Airways picked up the awards for ‘Best Airline’, ‘Best Business Class Airline’ and ‘Best Middle Eastern Airline’ categories, while the oneworld airline alliance, of which Qatar Airways has been a member since 2013, won ‘Best airline alliance’.
The Business Traveller Awards are voted for by readers of the magazine with the results authenticated by an independent auditing company and are widely recognised as the airline industry’s benchmark for excellence. Readers base their voting on the strength of the airline’s customer service, its route network and services.
Qatar Airways Group chief executive, Akbar al-Baker said, “This marks the third year that Qatar Airways has received the Best Business Class Airline award and we are both delighted and proud to have now also won Best Airline and Best Middle Eastern Airline. These awards are a reflection of our continuing commitment to provide our passengers with an industry leading service and innovative product throughout their journey.”
Qatar Airways was also recently recognised as one of the leading airlines in the world at the UK Condé Nast Traveller ‘Readers Travel Awards’. The airline was awarded the ‘Best For Business’ accolade and runner-up as the readers’ choice for ‘Leisure Long Haul Travel’.
The airline also received the Airline of the Year, Best Business Class Airline Seat and Best Airline in the Middle East at the 2015 Skytrax Awards. This is the third time the airline has won the accolade of Airline of the Year.
