Tamil protesters hold placards demanding the release of activists being held under tough anti-terror laws in the Sri Lankan capital Colombo yesterday. Hundreds of Tamils are said to be held in detention without trial for years despite the end of the island’s drawn out Tamil separatist war in May 2009.
