Astad Project Management has announced that it has received two awards, recognising skill, innovation and hard work in projects across different sectors.
The two projects were honoured at the Cityscape Awards for Emerging Markets in Dubai.
While the National Museum of Qatar won the Community, Culture and Tourism Project Award, the Lusail Sports Arena bagged the Leisure and Hospitality Project Award.
Astad nominated the two projects, which were the only shortlisted projects representing Qatar, to compete with 39 projects from across the world, including finalists from Russia, Brazil, India,
Turkey, China and the GCC.
Qatar’s Lusail Sports Arena, the flagship venue selected to host the opening and closing ceremonies of the 24th Men’s Handball World Championship, edged out Chinese competition to win the award.
