Two of Education City’s American schools have once again been ranked in the top 15 colleges and universities in the US News Best Colleges ranking for 2016. Northwestern was ranked 12th and Cornell, 15th.  In the 2015 ranking, Northwestern was 13th and Cornell, 15th. Of the top 25 schools this year, nine schools stayed the same, 13 fell in the rankings and only three moved up - Northwestern, Johns Hopkins and Brown University.
“As one of Northwestern’s three campuses, NU-Q is proud that our university has again been recognised as one of the most prestigious in the US as well as in Qatar,” said Everette E Dennis, dean and CEO of NU-Q. “These rankings reflect the world class academic experience we provide our students.”
US News is the only organisation that has been ranking schools for over three decades. The rankings focus on academic excellence, with schools ranked on up to 16 measures of academic quality.
