Al Khalij Commercial Bank (Al Khaliji) has extended its support to Qatar Red Crescent (QRC) as part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme.
In this regard, Hamad al-Kubaisi, Al Khaliji group chief human resources and administration officer, has handed over a donation of over QR40,000 to QRC representative Saad Shaheen al-Kaabi, director of resource mobilisation, at the
bank’s headquarters.
The funds were collected through Al Khaliji’s Ramadan charity campaign, wherein the bank donated QR1 for every transaction a customer conducted during the holy month by using the bank’s debit or credit card.
As part of the larger International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, QRC’s mission has been consistently expanding to a wide-ranging scope of humanitarian and developmental activities towards its humanitarian mission, both locally and internationally, according to a statement.
“Al Khaliji has an ongoing commitment to CSR. Supporting human development within the community is a cornerstone within Al Khaliji’s values, as it aims to achieve the Human Development pillar of Qatar National Vision 2030,” the statement notes.
Many non-profit organisations have benefited from Al Khaliji’s CSR activities. The bank has extended its support to a wide range of charitable activities within and outside the country.
