HE the Minister of Endowments and Islamic Affairs (Awqaf) Dr Ghaith bin Mubarak al-Kuwari yesterday issued a decision forming the Qatari Haj Mission for the year 1436 Hijri, 2015 AD.
According to the decision, HE the minister assumes presidency of the mission. The decision named Dr Abdulsalam Ali al-Qahtani as the executive president of the mission. It also formed supporting administrative units to serve the pilgrims of Qatar.
The mission represents the state in the annual Haj conference and participates in committees, conferences and seminars held during the pilgrimage season.
It will hall supervise the Qatari Haj campaigns in the Holy Land in terms of providing the means for the care and safety of the pilgrims, according to the contracts concluded with them. It also provides services to the pilgrims of Qatar in the aspects of awareness, guidance, treatment and resolving their issues, and work on whatever that facilitates performing their rituals properly.
